PROBLEM

The current NYCPA website faces challenges in providing a user-friendly and visually compelling platform, resulting in low user engagement and limited online visibility. Users find it difficult to navigate the website efficiently, and the lack of call-to-action elements diminishes the potential for increased participation and interaction with the association's events and initiatives.

SOLUTION

To develop an alluring platform that entices users to engage more with the website, incorporating call-to-action buttons, enhancing the navigation system, and implementing an aesthetically pleasing UI style will drive increased user traffic and boost engagement with the foundation.

UNDERSTANDING THE USER

My approach involves in-depth research and analysis to grasp the unique requirements, challenges, and aspirations of paralegals in various legal settings. Understanding the users' workflows and priorities will allow us to design an intuitive navigation system and provide tailored content that supports their daily tasks and enhances their efficiency.

After evaluating the pages, it was concluded that a simplification of the navigation tabs would help improve the overall user experience and flow on the website

PERSONA

Upon compiling and structuring the research data, the next step involved developing a persona to vividly envision the target end-user. To facilitate the design process, utmost accuracy was sought in portraying a young legal professional, driven by a strong desire for meaningful connections. This meticulously crafted persona served as a steadfast reference throughout the product life cycle, ensuring unwavering focus when making crucial design decisions.


SKETCHES

At the outset of the design stage, I commenced with several rudimentary sketches outlining the envisioned layout structure. My primary objective was to facilitate seamless user navigation by enabling direct access to all tabs from the homepage.

WIREFRAMES

After finalizing the sketch layout, the next step involved translating the ideas into wireframes. Using Figma, I created low-fidelity wireframes for the main pages to visualize the app's structure effectively.

LO FIDELITY PROTOTYPE

With the application's structure now established, I proceeded to develop a low-fidelity prototype. This invaluable step allowed me to assess the current design's functionality and user experience during this stage effectively. The low-fidelity prototype served as a valuable tool in refining and optimizing the app's design before moving on to higher-fidelity iterations.

USER TESTING

I conducted user testing with multiple participants before finalizing the designs with high-fidelity mockups. Gathering valuable insights from users, I made the following changes based on their feedback and preferences
